Opening Reception at The Charles H. Taylor Arts Center

small works LIGHT, EYE, and ENTRANCE by Masako Simmons
10-23-2011 Small Works Exhibition Opening Reception

October 23, 2011 Sunday at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center.

All small works in different mediums.  Tiny watercolor paintings, tiny oil painting, tiny acrylic painting, tiny sculpture, tiny clay, tiny mix media, etc., etc…  I had a great time at the opening reception except my feet.  I rarely wear high heels and they were killing my feet! The exhibition still continues until Dec. 4th.  I hope a lot of people get a chance to see all fine art in Hampton Roads Virginia.

Three of my paintings, “Light”, “Eye”, and “Entrance” are exhibited. (Photo on the left)

fine art original acrylic painting Promise by Masako

Huge rain drops, perhaps tear drops, coming down from the dark cloud.  The rainbow seems so far away.  Yet, the rain /tear drop magnifies the rainbow and the light.  Life is like a rainbow, you need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear.

“The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears.” – John Vance Cheney
